Excellent all for this technology
Date: October 4, 2008
"I've these two, good prise and very reliability. And I surprise with this low prise if compare with other brand. Just want to improve for more capacity in the future. I'm waiting for next generation of DataTraveler. And I think that design is so classic too (It's clearly look)."

Excellent choice
Date: September 17, 2008
"I've had a 2GB DataTraveller for over 6 months now and its serving me very well. It's great for school and it reads data and transfers data quite fast I must say. It's very durable, the cap hasn't become loose so far, although other caps from other brand flash drives have."

4 years straight!
Date: August 22, 2008
"I require flashdrives for our 1st - 8th graders here at school. I order them from your company every year for their durability and value! My middle schoolers have come in with flashdrives that have been washed and put through the dryer, flashdrives dropped in glasses of coke, ones that have travelled in the bottom of purses for going on three years of use,and at least one that was run over in the parking lot. They all still work! In three years I have not had to replace a single flashdrive for malfunctioning. Thanks for such a reliable and durable product!"

Survived the laundry!!!
Date: July 21, 2008
"I have been looking for my memory stick for the last several days. I did my laundry tonight. I heard something rattling in the dryer. It was my memory stick! It was hot from the dryer and bleached from the washer but there it was. Just to see what would happen, I plugged the stick into my PC. Not only did the memory stick still work but every file was there intact as if nothing happened. I have always loved the Kingston Memory but now I will never buy any other memory for as long as I live!!! :-)"

Highest value around

"I have both a 2GB and a 512MB DataTraveler, and I’ve seen many other people with these drives. When I bought them they were by far the cheapest per GB. I thought that Pen drives were pretty much a commodity, but I’ve seen and read people having failures of other brands, but that’s rare with the Kingston.
Write performance is a little slow (don’t expect readyboost), but read is fine. The drives also work fine as USB boot devices.
As far as physical robustness, I’ve seen people have these drives go through the wash fine. Others I’ve seen bent at the USB port (from physical force) that are fine after a quick solder job. It is common for the cap to become a little loose after time, but these drives have held up very well.
Good riddance to floppies I say! I’m planning on going out and buying a cheap 8GB now."

Kingston = "No Parallel"
Date: July 5, 2008
"I have been using Kingston USB Disks throughout my three years of high school, Carrying it in my pocket in the scorching heat of the sun, plugging it several times in computers/laptops, fell down a number of times, but, the data storage mechanism kept it steady as a ROCK, regardless of the number of times it has been plugged in & out of the computer, never failed me, not even once, excellent quality, very durable & dependable; better than any other USB manufacturers out there, most of all, these USB disks are available at a very favorable price, if you need a backing storage device to depend on, Kingston USB disk should be your first priority. ;D"

"Yeah, so I've been searching around like crazy all day for my USB drive. Well, it went through my washing machine. My clothes are clean and I was in the worst kind of despair. Would it work? YES! It still works...crazy. It also looks pretty clean too."

"For somehow i left my Kingston flash disk on my jean pocket and it get washed !. First I thought this is the end for my device, but after i dried it with direct sun heat < 1-2 hours >, put it back on my laptop ..voila not a single data have been loss or broken, just a little bit feeling that my kingston data transfer speed a little bit slower ( not much ! ), but what the heck, as long as it still working !"

Lucky i am lucky son of a gun!
Date: April 8, 2008
"Okay, i got the 2GB one....the speed is okay. Today, i accidentally forgot to take my flash out of my jean and threw it in the washer and dryer too! Lucky! when i stick my head in the dryer i was surprise and found my memory was in the dryer. i stick in it my laptop and all my stuff was still there!!! very surprised....lucky my memory didn't get clean/purge with my dirty laundry :D. I wish the memory flash's cap would have a strong cap and attach link to main memory stick. also, include a better neck cable to carry with the key chain.. oh man ....i am so lucky!!!!"

Painfully slow when handling many files
Date: March 31, 2008
"While the transfer speed is acceptable at 6-7MB/sec, the DataTraveler 4GB has major problems when it comes to handling a bigger number of files. For testing purpose I created 20 empty directories within one directory, which was really slow. After that, i deleted them again, which took some extraordinary 30 seconds. Read access is also noticable slower when accessing many different files successively. So if you plan to handle many small files/many directories, the DataTraveler 4GB is not a suitable solution for you."

good performer
Date: February 25, 2008
"very recently i bought a 4gb kingston data traveller (DT I/4GB) thumb drive and i am happy about its performance. my computer setup is old ( windows vista,p2.4g, 1gb ddr ram,80 gb seagate pata hard disk), still i was able to get 7.5 Mbyte/sec write speeds on huge file transfer (a 2 gb directory ) from HDD to pen drive. files were a mix of all things like web pages,mp3,word docs, pdf etc. the best thing is the drive comes with a five year replacement warranty comapared to competeters one year or so warranty period. Though a bundled neck cord for carrying around and some software like U3 etc. could have enhanced the value for money factor"

Unbelievable drive!
Date: February 13, 2008
"I've been using my 1GB Datatraveler for over a year with no problems. Then one day I realized I lost it and much to my disappointment thought that my trusty device was long gone. Well, that same weekend I was doing the laundry and lo and behold - there it was in the dryer!!! I had accidentally washed and dried my Datatraveler!! I thought the drive was destroyed, but thought I'd try it anyways.... Much to my delight, the drive loaded up all my files without a problem! Works perfect - keep up the good work on an amazing product!"
